Risk Management

Philsophies and Practices

Our organizational Risk Management starts far before we build trips

  • Vetting local partners, outfitters and rental companies

  • Providing clear and accurate descriptions of activities to all participants

  • Health reporting and screening for every trip

  • Appropriate Guide training around activities, rescue, transportation methods, and client service expectations.

  • Close collaboration with our organizational Medical Advisor(s) to assess trips, staff, and participants.

  • On Trip Practices

    • Staff ratios that maintain careful supervision. Typically 1:7 or less

    • Professionally managed terrain considerations

    • Trips are well equipped with first aid resources and communication devices

  • Emergency and Evacuation plans and protocols for activating those plans
